Jim joined Hill, Hill, Carter in 2009. He provides businesses and Alabama public entities with litigation counsel, transactional advice, and regulatory guidance in a variety of matters. As outside general counsel to a number of clients, Jim’s practice primarily focuses on contract negotiations and disputes, general and complex civil litigation, corporate governance, public procurement, and administrative matters involving federal, state, and local agencies. He also advises client on matters related to labor and employment and strategies for business development. Jim regularly represents municipal corporations as well as private businesses in the industries of construction, multi-family housing, professional services, retail & distribution, gaming, and manufacturing.
